Two things that successful salons do to attract new Salon Clients on Demand!

White space getting you down?

Suffering with cancellations?

We are hearing from lots of salon owners who want tips on how to drive new business and constantly attract new salon clients on demand.

Did you know that a salon business will naturally lose between 10-25% of its clientele?

That’s up to a quarter of your business every year! This isn’t because we are bad at what we do. But it also doesn’t mean that we need rush to go on the latest balayage course!

It means that to maintain your business you need to be attracting a minimum of 10-25% new clients every month/year.

And that is just to maintain your business.

To GROW your business you need to be attracting anything above 25% new clients consistently.

Let’s break this down, if you have white space in your business now but don’t have an active strategy in place for attracting new clients into the business (I’m definitely NOT talking about discounts!!!) then you will still have white space next year!

The reality is, if your not growing your business, then your a business in decline.

So how can you attract new salon clients on demand?

The first thing that successful salons do is nail their Ideal Client!

This isn’t a ‘bums on seats’ kind of game.

To have a long term profitable business you need to know your ideal client inside and out, then you need to use clever marketing to make them flock to the salon!

If you are a hair or beauty business owner and you don’t have an ideal client avatar in 2022 then you are going to be left behind!

Knowing your ideal client inside and out is part of what makes marketing easier

If you struggle with caption writing and knowing what to say on your socials and blogs then you need to go back to your ideal client and understand this person on a deeper level.

Crucially, you need to look past this persons demographics and look at their motivations, pain points and priorities.

When you understand THIS information, your marketing will become a lot easier!

Number 2? Become Discoverable!

We can’t stress this enough, we are NOT talking about discounts!

A lot of salon owners rely on social media for their marketing strategy but unfortunately it’s often not enough. Social Media gives you visibility in front of your existing audience only.

If you want your business to be discoverable and searchable then optimising your Google Business Listing and creating Articles/blogs within your website will massively help.

Be discoverable:

Google is the largest search engine on the planet. So having your business listed within Google, on Google business helps potential clients searching for you in your local area discover you.

Making sure this listing is up to date and optimised will help your business be discovered.

Be Searchable:

Again, Google is the largest search engine on the planet, people take to this tool daily to search their problems. E.G how to make my hair grow. How to have clear skin, how to make fine hair thicker etc etc. Optimised blogging can help your salon business pop up as a solution to these problems.

Potential clients are searching for your services and you want to make sure they not only discover you but your digital breadcrumbs lead to a sale.

Let us explain…

Google search: hair salons near me (or they could search the specific area they are in). This is where the person should discover your salon business.

From there they are likely to check out if you are the right salon for them, they will look at your website, blog and reviews.

This first step help the potential client build:

Know

Like

Trust

With the right information here and call to actions it will guide the potential client to either:

  • Complete a consultation form

  • Book an appointment

  • Sign up to your mailing list and enter your nurture sequence

From those three places you can direct this person to not only book your services but:

  • Re-book

  • Recommend others

  • Review your salon

  • Buy retail

All of these things feed into the marketing cycle.

The more social proof you have (reviews) the quicker a potential client will trust you.

The niche blogs you write help your ideal client decide if your the right professional for them.

This is the ideal digital client journey and will attract new salon clients on demand, in an automated way .

These 2 things are just 2 ways in which successful salons are attracting clients on demand, nail these and you will see fast wins,

following that, you will probably need to consider clever automations to make a seamless and consistent customer journey for all of the new clients who are flocking too the salon! That, my friend is where we come in!
